Asphaltech are proud to have achieved a green rating for our Site Wise Accreditation.

SiteWise is a prequalification system that grades a contractor’s health & safety capability and publishes that grade in a database that can be viewed by main contractor’s and principal organizations. This allows for better contractor selection and an easier tendering process for everyone involved.

Special thanks goes out to Krissy Stewart our recently appointed Health and Safety officer who within a 6 month period had gained a Certificate in Construction Site Safety as well as implemented several changes to our company. Such as arranging health screening for all our staff, Creating a pathway the Certificate.

Site Safety for all our team as we believe that continual improvement through education is the way forward to develop our Health and Safety Knowledge.

Three members of our team of 25 full time employees have now Graduated with a Certificate in Construction Site Safety while all of our team leaders have completed the Gold card training.

On the 7th March 2018, Asphaltech was certified with Codemark for waterproofing product that can be laid to zero fall substrates.

This product certificate covers the use of the Asphaltech Mastic Asphalt System as a waterproof roofing membrane and as a waterproofing and paving system for elevated decks and car parks for cars, light commercial and heavy goods vehicles.

The Asphaltech Mastic Asphalt System may be used where the minimum gradient of the substrate structure is completely flat (less than 1:80) including nominally zero pitch.

This is another major achievement in Asphaltech’s ongoing goal of maintaining its unique high standards.

Asphaltic recently represented new Zealand at the international mastic asphalt association annual conference in Verona this year.

This was the first time a company from the southern hemisphere had represented present at the international conference. Asphaltech was looked after very well by all its European member countries. The conference was very informative of the developments in the application fields within our great industry. The conference featured speakers from all over Europe explaining the positives in using mastic asphalt applications such as flooring, road installations, bridge deck waterproofing ,carper applications.

There were features and discussions on new designs for flooring and toppings that can be used for brightening the roads to form aesthetic finishes.

Asphaltech are looking forward to next years conference in Verona.

These bespoke systems are the future of the mastic asphalt industry.
