The roof terrace of the penthouse apartments on this large project were after an seamless aesthetic waterproofing product which once painted would look good as it was visually and had proven performance as a durable long term roofing solution to keep the building below watertight. Also, within the complex there was an internal courtyard which all the apartments shared had to have a waterproofing system applied due to there being shops and carparks below the area.
WATERPROOFING SOLUTION
Asphaltech worked with the architects at the early design stage to specify and detail the podium and roofs of this large apartment complex. In working at design stage, we were able to follow the project from concept to completion, changing the details easily as we installed the finished product.

Neuchatel mastic asphalt podium system
The hard wearing long lasting Rolls Royce of waterproofing was again selected for the podium of this large apartment complex. Neuchatel is monolithic seamless and can form around multiple shapes easily. making it the product of choice.
Neuchatel roofing system
Mastic asphalt was used as the roof of this apartment block with over 100 years of product history in New Zealand Neuchatel mastic asphalt is the premium roofing product in New Zealand and with this long lasting history of use is still used in todays modern construction.
Sika Sarnafil PVC
Strong and lightweight. sika Sarnafil was used on the deck areas and gutters of this large commercial apartment block. A fully adhered glue applied system was used. The system does not require a naked flame to apply the product unlike most system on the market
