Jimmy’s Point apartments, developed by Winton, are located at the heart of Hobsonville Point. Designed by Isthmus, the development integrates seamlessly with its coastal environment, offering a blend of private residences and vibrant communal spaces. The design was refined to enhance functionality, removing ground-level parking and creating outdoor areas like decks and BBQ spaces. The main entry lobby was also expanded to serve as a welcoming hub connecting residents to the community.

WATERPROOFING SOLUTION

Given the diverse needs of the building’s surfaces, a tailored waterproofing solution was implemented using three high-performance systems:

Armourplan Single Ply PVC Membrane: A lightweight, flexible membrane ideal for timber substrates, providing reliable waterproofing for the building’s gutters.

Neuchatel Permatec: Known for its ease of installation and durability, Permatec was chosen for the balconies to withstand staged construction and offer long-term protection.

Neuchatel Mastic Asphalt: Selected for its resilience in high-traffic areas, this system ensures durability and resistance to wear, making it ideal for the podium area.

Each system was chosen for its specific advantages, ensuring effective waterproofing tailored to the building’s design and construction needs. Completed in September 2024, the project demonstrates a successful collaboration between Winton, Isthmus, Kalmar Construction, waterproofing supplier Neuchatel and the application team at Asphaltech to deliver a sustainable, well-protected development.
