Introducing Resido, the Build-to-Rent development in Sylvia Park, Mount Wellington. It stands as the country’s largest project of its kind, offering secure, long-term rental accommodation as an alternative to home ownership.
Resido comprises 295 apartments across three residential buildings, centered around a communal open plaza and resident’s pavilion. The design blends industrial references with natural elements, promoting modern apartment living within a vibrant community setting.

Asphaltech were privileged to be engaged early in the design phase of Resido provide advice on the best waterproofing products and systems for the project. For the podium, CodeMark certified Neuchâtel Mastic Asphalt was chosen. Renowned for its toughness, durability, and resilience, Mastic Asphalt can withstand high construction traffic and multiple trades. Asphaltech are experts in installing Mastic Asphalt and have a preferred customer relationship with Neuchâtel, the product supply company, ensuring the product is ready when we need it.

For the balconies, Neuchâtel Permatec was selected. This amazing waterproofing product is lightweight and easy to install on the smaller balcony areas without compromising on performance.

Over the course of three years, we collaborated closely with the architectural team on the installation, addressing complex detailing to ensure the project’s success. Extremely strong, durable and can be easily formed/molded to complex shapes the premium Podium system is perfect for modern construction. In its malleable state, when hot, it allows a full range of surface finishes from the mastic asphalt wearing layer, which can be stamped with patterns, coloured or just smooth flat providing a stable base for overlaying various surface finishes from the pavers on pedestals systems to simple decorative pebbled surfaces.
