Jeferson has worked within the New Zealand waterproofing industry for the past 15 years. Originally from Brazil he spent some time in the United States in the early 2000’s working and travelling before finally settling in New Zealand.

Jeferson began his career in the Asphalting Industry as an apprentice for Works Infrastructure (Neuchatel) in 2005 training under the supervision of Joe Hayward a true legend within the industry with nearly 50 years of experience.

Jeferson showed great aptitude and was a natural when it came to installing Mastic Asphalt something that Joe Hayward and George Griffiths very quickly noticed early on in Jeferson’s career.

During the preceding years Jeferson began to manage large projects all over New Zealand, from large shopping malls in sunny Palmerston North to State housing projects in windy Wellington, plus commercial projects in Rotorua and Hamilton.

Jeferson managed one of Asphaltech’s largest jobs to date, The $4 Million project of Northwest Mall.

Jeferson’s role has evolved over the years and he is now overseeing all projects related to Mastic Asphalt, Liquid Membranes and Tanking within the company.

Jeferson has developed vast knowledge and skills working with different products such as, Torch on Membranes, Bentonite, Liquid Membranes, Single Ply (Sarnafil, TPO, Butynol and Bituthene).

He loves cooking Brazilian barbecue and like every Brazilian is a talented footballer, still playing for Takapuna FC over 35’s.

We hope Jerferson spends many more years helping to make Asphaltech Ltd the biggest Mastic Asphalt installation company in the Southern hemisphere.
